Head of Compliance & Quality Assurance
SECURITY VETTING DIRECTIVE // MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
This job position requires a mandatory National Security Clearance. Candidates must meet the essential NATO security requirements to be eligible for certification:
- ■ Nationality: Active citizenship of a NATO member state.
- ■ Background Check: Clean criminal record and a clean financial/legal history.
- ■ Vetting Authorization: Formal consent to personal, professional and security background vetting.
SUPPORT PROTOCOL: Gaman will actively assist the selected candidate throughout the vetting process and fully cover all associated costs. Please note that obtaining and holding this security clearance is a strict requirement for contract signature and onboarding.
01 // OBJECTIVE & OVERVIEW
Serves as the ultimate authority for Gaman’s corporate governance, quality management systems (QMS), and regulatory compliance. Directs the implementation, maintenance, and continuous auditing of critical industry certifications including ISO 9001, AS9100 (Aerospace Quality), and ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security). Ensures all operational, engineering, and manufacturing processes align flawlessly with European defense regulations, national security protocols, and international space data standards.
02 // BASE FORMATION
- > MSc in Engineering, Law, Business Governance, or Quality Management
- > Auditor certifications for ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022
- > Comprehensive knowledge of European defense procurement compliance and dual-use export control laws (e.g., EU dual-use regulation, ITAR/EAR fundamentals)
03 // REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality engineering within aerospace, defense, or high-security manufacturing
- Successfully led at least two full-cycle implementations and external certification audits for AS9100 or ISO 27001
- Proven track record of managing risk assessments, root-cause analyses, and correcting process deviations in a deeply technical environment
