SECURITY VETTING DIRECTIVE // MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
This job position requires a mandatory National Security Clearance. Candidates must meet the essential NATO security requirements to be eligible for certification:
- ■ Nationality: Active citizenship of a NATO member state.
- ■ Background Check: Clean criminal record and a clean financial/legal history.
- ■ Vetting Authorization: Formal consent to personal, professional and security background vetting.
SUPPORT PROTOCOL: Gaman will actively assist the selected candidate throughout the vetting process and fully cover all associated costs. Please note that obtaining and holding this security clearance is a strict requirement for contract signature and onboarding.
01 // OBJECTIVE & OVERVIEW
Establishes and leads Gaman's Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring rigorous governance, schedule control, risk management and resource planning across all concurrent R&D, product development and customer programmes. Defines and enforces programme management methodology aligned with ECSS, NATO and ESA standards. Acts as the primary interface between technical leads, executive management and external stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment between Gaman's programme portfolio and its business objectives.
02 // BASE FORMATION
- > MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
- > PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory
- > Complementary qualifications: PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), or equivalent
- > Knowledge of ECSS-M-ST-10, NASA NPR 7120.5, or equivalent space/defence programme management standards
- > Training in earned value management (EVM), risk management (ISO 31000) and configuration management
03 // REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years of experience in complex technical programmes, with at least 3 years as programme or project manager
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in aerospace, defence or advanced technology sectors
- Track record of programme delivery from proposal phase through final acceptance, within cost and schedule constraints
- Experience with risk registers, WBS, IMS, and EVM reporting in institutional or government programmes
- Proven ability to manage concurrent programmes with shared resources and competing priorities
- Experience with EU-funded R&D programmes (H2020/Horizon Europe, EDA, NATO STO) is highly valued
